Asian Lettuce Wraps

This lettuce wrap creation is really delicious. It’s perfect for dinner, lunch, party food, etc.
I always get mu shu veggies when I go to Chinese restaurants but this is a really delicious homemade version.

Ingredients:
-1 Tbs (or less) cooking oil
-1-2 Tbs chopped garlic
-1 c shredded cabbage
-1/4 c matchstick carrots
-1/4 c shopped up cauliflower
-1/4 c chopped up mushrooms
-1 can water chestnuts drained & chopped
– 2 Tbs hoisin or plum sauce + more to taste
-3 Tbs teriyaki sauce + more to taste

-lettuce leaves for serving on

* garnish: sesame seeds, scallions, tofu
*** optional

Directions:
-Put the oil, garlic, and veggies into a large frying pan- turn to medium high heat and cook, stirring every 30 seconds or so) until soft and tender. (You may want to turn the heat down to medium low and cover for a minute or so at a time to steam the veggies a bit.)
-Put the sauces in the pan and stir until all the veggies have some sauce. Taste, then add more sauce if you think you need more.
– garnish with cooked tofu, sesame seeds, or scallions.
– serve on top of romaine or iceburg lettuce leaves
– wrap up to eat
